Unfortunately, no luck at West Kentucky. Sounds like the steering box may have been a weakness on this model. It's been discontinued from Kubota and the wrecking/salvage yards I've contacted have come up empty-handed.

Anyone out there have a steering box for an L285? I have a customer who just called saying his steering wheel spins.....

Also, I see they are different part numbers but is there any chance a L245 box will fit on a L285? There are new/rebuilt ones for the L245 available on Ebay and elsewhere pretty reasonably.

The L245 steering box will not work. The L295 will.

Are there any compatible steering box's for an L275? Can't seem to find one for L275 but found an L235 but don't know if they are interchangeable.
