Yes sir :D so much for that hard winter every one predicted for around here. Fruit trees are budding already. Bulbs have been spouting for a few weeks now. And folks are fixing to start tilling there gardens in a couple weeks as long as the rain holds off and it's not too wet. Time for the cool weather veggies :D

Daren -

Thanks, I needed that!

Tulip bed by garage JUST had snow go off it couple days ago.

I'll bet I won't mow lawn until late-May.

We only have 2 seasons here - Winter and July 4th!!

Can't wait for things to dry out around here and get the garden started. We're down to almost bare ground in most places but the big piles of snow will be around for quite a while yet.

This pic was taken a month ago.

Took the pooch for a walk today and snapped this pic. We got a fresh dusting of snow/ice last night :( Still over a foot of snow where the sun doesn't shine. Good 2' where the snow tends to drift.

Thanks for rubbing it in Daren!

Sure - I just made another half-gallon of maple syrup Monday before the NCAA basketball game!!

It was still pretty light. Sap is still running a little, but now I'm done!:p

 Yer a cruel man, Mr. Todd!

I was JUST starting to see more bare ground than snow and we got a lovely 3 inches of heavy, wet slop overnight. I about lost it when I looked out the kitchen window at daylight.

Supposed to have a "wintery mix" with an ice topping tonight/tomorrow then it looks like 50's and sunny for a few days.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Yup, but give it a couple months and I'll be begging and crying for your climate. We'll be sweatting our butts off with high 80's at night and 110 plus degrees during the day with some days hitting 120 and 130 and 90% humidity. July and August down right suck here

Oh, I know. I lived in South Carolina near Charleston for 3 years and the panhandle of Florida for 5 years before that (Navy). Plus I was stationed in the Philippine Islands for a year and change. Ain't much you can tell me about heat and humidity.

Which is why I live in Maine. Kinda hard to remember on those years when Winter lasts until Memorial Day tho...

I will be more then happy to send some moisture your way. We got an inch of rain last night in twenty minutes when a big thunder storm rolled through. Wind snapped off an 80' tall oak at the neighbors just missing there carport. Mother nature also made quick work of teaching me how to remove the shutters on the front of my house. stepped out to watch the storm, heard a thunk next me. Looked over just in time to see a shutter go on walk about. Found it on the edge of a field down at the end of the street  Will have to bust out the husqvarna 445 (my other orange toy :D), fire up the bota, grab the trailer and get me some free fire wood tonight :D

The Robins have been out for a few weeks now, and except for one little snow flurry last week, it's been pretty warm for a month now. Not normal for N. Idaho, but I don't mind an early spring

Spent the day trimming the dead stuff off the flowering trees. Sprayed the fence lines with round up to take care of the vines and weeds. Trying to get rid of the honeysuckle that keeps popping up . Hit the cracks in the driveway and walk ways also. Sprayed the fruit trees. Weeded the flower beds. Next weekend it's over to the nursery with the trailer for a load of mulch, And some flats of annuals for the flower pots and baskets.

You got off cheap :D I swear my wife and I should have part ownership in the local nursery by now :D we gave up gardening. Have to do raised beds around here do to the soil. Between buying dirt and the water bill do to droughts, it's cheaper to go to the farmers market  can't get bulk composted manure around here either. I need to build a shed too!!! Maybe I'll be able to get my garage back :D Got another one getting married so the shed will have to wait till next year
