My Triplets

I thought you guys might like to see my Honda triplets. They're all 1987.
They should be orange because they still run like a top. They are all 250's.
My wife and I ride them all over the mountains in the summertime. They're
real cheap on gas. We have a blast on them.

Those old honda's will run forever, and yours still look new! I have a 85 Honda 50R bike with the fat tires, still looks and runds new, kids love it! I'm jealous, sold my Polaris a long time ago because MA won't let you ride them in the state forests around me, same with vermont. Always had to trailer it a long distance and the areas that you could ride in were slim to none. You can't beat just taking off from your house and riding all day!

In vermont you just had to know where to go Too much forest and not enough wardens we used to go all over the national forests, bust our own trails when needed. Just had to stay off the forestry roads, and not linger on snowmobile trails. We had miles of trails through national forest land, would run down shallow parts of the river and pick up other trails.

Some of the towns that were big in farming had ordinaces that allowed you to use the wheeler on town roads. Just had to stay off the federal highways and obey speed limits

Here you go and they make a diesel version too and they are 4wd.. well if they had 4wheeels but they dont so that makes them 2wd

I would be curious to know that since the three all have different tire tread designs, if any notable difference in performance was noticed with each?

Yeah I don't have that kind of luck, I would only run into the wardens or EPOs if I was somewhere I shouldn't be. Ben pulled over 3 times on a wheeler and warned once in somerset, vt national forest.

Funny story...... My gramps and I used to hunt in somerset. He was about 77 when I convinced him to buy a wheeler. We hid his old cj5 and trailer in the woods and rode way into our spot. Came out and there was a written warning on the windshield. He took it all the way to state house to try and get a special permit to allow him to use one....

They refused to give one out to a WWII vet even when he just wanted one to drag the deer out if he got one and thats it. They said no and replied that he should get a cart to wheel a deer out with. My gramps replied.... "Well if I get a cart....I need a horse to pull it...But VT doesn't allow horses in there either....So I guess I'll have to tame a Moose"

The one in front has slightly larger tires. About the only noticeable difference is it uses
a little more gas. When out riding all day it might use a quart more. I ride the one with the bigger tires. When my wife and I are out riding, I have to down shift a little sooner on the
hills, but I'm a lot heavier than my wife.

He's not around anymore but if anyone could do it he could! I've been working on my wife and her Indonesian friend but it's still a work in progress Ha!
