skeets, are you talking about containers like this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/20-ft-NEW-s...276?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item48765384c4

If you are, they have become stupidly priced where I am if you can find them at all.

Place where I got 2 from for around $2,00 for a 40'L x 8'W x 9'6"H delivered, only leases them now. Last time I checked, they would get one for me if I paid $4,800 up front.

What are they selling for in your area?

Guy I know bought one maybe 6 or 8 months ago, he got the pick of the lot and paid $2500.

I paid about $1800 each after delivery for my two 20'ers. I think they were $1675 each before delivery. For 40'ers he wanted $2,500 per. I think he added about $200 each for the high cube size.

If you're in North Texas area, I'd look him up...

they used to be called "Shubert Storage" so he's changed his business name.

For the cost, it's extremely sturdy, secure, and efficient storage.

I need some extra storage space too. How well does a small kubota (let's say a B7300) fit into one of the 20 foot storage containers? Finally, wouldn't a shipping container become an oven during the summer months (when it is in the 90's & above)?

Surprisingly they aren't too bad, they have vent on top and bottom and they pull in cool air in the bottom vents as the heat escapes the top vents, forced convection.
Yes they get hot but not so hot that they will hurt anything on the tractor,
sun is for more damaging than just heat. ;)

My L3200 survived this last summer just fine in one and it fits nicely, though you do need to fold the ROPS due to being a lousy half inch too short! (inch if you want some breathing room)

I don't know how a B7300 compares to an L3200 in size but most of the B's are usually a little smaller so it should work fine, yours might even pull in nicely. Mine probably would too if it had the industrial or turf tires on it, but it has AG's so I have to fold the ROPS.

I will see how it survives the winter though. It doesn't go below 20° very often in the area so all I did was disconnect the battery negative. I'm headed out there again in the late spring to do more work on the ranch. I expect it will be just fine.

Wolf man nailed it :D I've had them for storage at work in florida and arkansas. Florida wasn't bad, but arkansas heat in the middle of the summer turns them into a sweat box. They don't get hot enough to damage any equipment. It's about the equivalent to hanging out in an attic.
I wouldn't recommend storing anything with gasoline in one though. The fumes will knock you on your butt and can create a hazard ;)

Could not find a cheap container when I needed one so bought two 20 foot boxes at a sheriffs auction. County could not stop me as they have no foundation. Each is setting on 8 concrete parking blocks, bought at same auction. Nice shape came from stolen truck chop shop. 600.00 each, rollback to house 200.00 for delivery of both.
