See them on Craig's list all the time and a few times on EBay. ;)

You will need to know what you are looking for. If your B7100 is gear drive then you need a belly mower that drives off the front of the engine crankshaft through an electric clutch with v belts. If your b7100 is an HST transmission then you need a belly mower that has a shaft drive off the mid PTO on the front of the transmission.

Excellent advice! ;)
I forget that the B7100's had 2 different setups for the mower drive.

There are two models for a gear drive b7100, K48 and B3048. Biggest difference is the B3048 has deck wheels in the front of the deck, K48 only has 1 small wooden roller in the front. The mounting setup is slightly different also. I do not know the model for the HST tractor.

I have the one on the HST model, but I dont think it was original. Seems like there are to many modifications.

That's funny mine is the same way. I have a K48 in spectacular shape for it age but the lifting mechanics are a mix of the two models. Had to buy both owners manuals to try and figure it out when I bought the tractor. The rear mounts are home made but they work. Not having deck wheels in the front makes a huge difference in getting an even cut. Some day I may modify the deck and add wheels but I like old things that are original.

Here's a 60" mower off of a B8200 gear drive. I bought it in '85. Been mowing probably less then 100 hrs. Been in a shed for 20 years. Set it out here when I replaced the shed.

For a B7100D the biggest issue is finding the front PTO drive for it, they are incredibly rare.
And the decks are getting really hard to find too.

You can get a three point mower, which will be much easier to find.

Yeah, I think I'm coming to that conclusion. Hard to find a small brush hog that only needs 13 hp, but I see other running bigger ones. My grass is minimal. 2 acres, but high desert terrain.

See if you can find a flail mower, they take less HP and work great is multiple ground conditions.
