The bank called again with more stuff we needed to go ahead with the refiance of our home. Thank God it was a simple thing to take care of. They want everything but the kitchen sink. Anyway... I called the dealer to let them know the closing is set for friday at noon. He informed me that if the bank would cut me a check made out to the dealership that he would deliver the tractor on friday as well. That would be great news if that could be done. I could start getting use to it this weekend... I'm hoping?? I have to call the bank tomorrow to find out about the check??? Other wise I would write them a check and it would be delivered in the middle of next week. I'd like to get a feel for the controls before the snow flies...plus get the back field mowed down. The farmer that was suppose to mow it for hay I guess he couldn't get to it.. O well??

Lets see, the first time I ever bought a house, my wife and I gathered up every freakin dime to "close" via the bank and the lawyer costs......
only to find that we were $300 bucks short at closing.......a clerical error via the bank and lawyer.....and it happened again after the fact the second time too.

Why is it when you pay something like a bank to do something it COMEs out of your account at the speed of light, yet when THEY screwed up, it take 7-10 business days to get your money back........

LOOK up PITA in the dictionary ......

PAIN IN THE A$$ via any transaction with a bank, lawyer or anyone that has control over YOUR money..

I got lucky with my closing, when we finally made it there. Got pushed back 3 times do to the owner having sundowners syndrome and no family member with a power of attorney. Then they called me out of the blue and said i needed to be there in an hour:confused: I was 100 miles away. That old diesel was screaming when i pulled in. Cost me 50 cents to close:D
I really think it should be legal to pimp slap an under writer. Each time they pushed it back, i had to provide another pay stub, bank statement, and if it was in between pay periods, a letter from my employer, plus some other odd ball paperwork:mad:

When I went to close on a new house in 1984, I found out the day of the closing that the Feds had closed the bank that owned the property and was paying the builder to build the house. We had moved in the day before with the permission of the bank. We later found out that the builder hadn't been paid off and had put a lien on the house. Ever tried to work through the red tape and slow workings of the federal government. I had to make monthly payments to the Feds while another bank took over the accounts and paid the builder. It took over six months to finally close and then we find out that the monthly payments were considered rent by the Feds. If they had told me how long it would be to close and that the monthly payments were just rent, we would have moved back out and found somewhere else to live.

Well guys that's the goverment for you and any of our fine institutions for you. Whatever happen to the constitution that states for the people... by the people. Anyway... I called the bank again to ask them at the closing if they could cut me a check made out to the dealership for the tractor, but they told me they could not and that I would have to wait. I wonder if the other bank that we are paying off the loan to has to wait??? With a refiance they have you get a specifi c day when you want the loan paid off by, otherwise they charge you daily interest on top of what you have paid in the past. Hell... they have made their money back and then some. So I hope that by next Wedsday I should have it by then. O well... I'v waited 4 years, I can wait another week. At least I know that it is coming. Thank God
