So I sold my BX2200, was a very faithful little guy, and bought a new B2650 and couldn't be happier! I've got a list of modifications I want to do in time. So far I added lights to the roll bar (Rigid D2), and a 12v actuator to the top chute of the blower. As you can tell I love using Stainless it welds so nice.

VERY nice looking machine. The B series (IMO) is the perfect size (and I own a BX)because it has the big boy tires and the modern bodywork, beautiful machine. Nice mods too, love the actuator. Any problems with it freezing up?

Very nice welds. How did you wire the lights? 2 switchs 1 front 1 back?. I want to build the same light bar for my BX but it wont be stainless.

Thanks for the compliments, I always take pride in my work. Only time will tell as far as freezing up goes. I doubt it as it goes back in a heated garage.

I used the factory 12 volt 120watt circuit under the rear fender, the led lights draw so little power, and yes one switch for the rear and one for the front mounted under 12v acc outlet was easier than running to dash and back.

Very nice machine, I really like the delude B Series, I considered trading my BX on one, but just kept it and got a GL as we really have too much land for a B only.

What lights did you use and do you like them?
I need to do something similar but I need work lights and an amber flasher unit switched seperately

Wow, nice lights but almost $300 per pair?
I'm looking for something not quite so nice.

Nope about 135.00 a pair on Amazon. The rigid D2 duallys are 300++ a pair. It's four LEDs vs six and different lense configurations. Rigid has a lifetime warranty and great reviews, played the game with cheap LEDs decided to give them a go.

I took off my roll safety bar- don't have bucket- keeps taking out my tree branches.
I have to think you took off your ROPS ,, Please reinstall it,,,

Yeah I know,, aint nuttin gona happen to me,,,:p

I have heard that too many times in the last 37 years doing safety work. As far as tree branches do like I did walk around and cut them off as high as you can reach, your trees will thank you for it and you will drive around unencumbered. OH and afor I forget,, DO NOT TRY TO PUSH THE BRANCHES OUT OF THE WAY,, don't ask:rolleyes:

Rollover protection has been discussed many times here. Flat terrain usually doesent require the use of it. Myself, would prefer one. For lights, and a sunshade. I trim my trees for mowing close to them, and use an offset tow behind mower.

ROPS requires the use of a seat belt. If you don't use a seat belt you're probably better off without ROPS. The ROPS provides safety only if you stay in the seat. If you don't stay in the seat you have to get out of the way of the additional iron coming towards you!

Thanks I have more things planned and will share as I make progress. We have gotten over a foot of snow and used my new gravel shooter..lol snow blower. I have an old plow edge guard I will cut down and fashion over the blower cutting edge, shoes are no good on unfrozen gravel. Be nice if the ground could freeze first for once. I loved my BX2200, the new B2650 is such a sweet upgrade just need more time to play..errr work.:D
