Hydraulic adjustments

Couple of questions here.

Is there an adjustment to slow down loader motion? LA304 is actually a bit quick going down, and I could use little more controlled motion here, especially with loaded bucket.

Can a hydraulic bypass be adjusted little higher? Say, I am trying to pick something heavier with forks, and it is enough that the tractor won't even curl the bucket under load, but I can tell the motor is not even being loaded at all. Giving some more RPM won't make a difference.

The main control should let you ease it down like it was a feather. Are you stating that when you barely engage the lowering control it just zips down like it has no speed control?

Most loader valves do not have any adjustment for down speed, it is purely a matter of how far you move the control lever.
If it was an ongoing need to keep things slow you could add a regulator to the line and regulate the flow.

I agree with the other posters. Move the valve a little and you can make it drop very slowly. Slam it over and it drops like a rock.

Back when I owned a M4900/LA1002 I installed an adjustable flow control valve to slow down FEL boom lowering when handling rd bales. Before installing flow control valve FEL control valve was difficult to feather with a heavy load on the loader.

Thank you guys. It seems installing a flow control valve is a logical step. I will look into that. Lack of experience may be another contributing factor.

Be sure to put it in the right spot. Do not put it after the FEL valve!
