Hello everyone. I was wondering if there's a way to adjust( tighten) the drive chain? Took a link out and too tight. Too loose otherwise. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thx and God Bless.

Most chains have an idler somewhere to adjust tension. If not, as suggested, you need a half link. Since you want to tighten the chain you would need to remove a full link then install the half link.
Pipewelder, if you will notice on the ends of the auger shaft there are bolt holes in the bearing plate. The bearing is off-center in this plate and when you turn the plate it will loosen or tighten the chain. Once you get the chain where you want it, offset the opposite side the same way so the auger will run true.

A few years ago, I decided to powder coat my snow blower. In the process, the powder coater said it was costly to change colors in his booth, so I should do all I wanted in one shot. So, I took my snow blower, tiller, FEL and dozer apart, had all of the pieces sand blasted and powder coated. Here are some before and after pictures of the tiller and snow blower:

That is very nice, it looks better than new! I love these old tractors and how advanced they were for their time. At the same time they are built to be able to repair anything with a few hand tools.
