I am new to the sight and orange tractors. I just bought a 2011 3240 and it came with the bucket only. There is a place for a pin to hold the top adjusting bar on the three point hookup. The hole on one side is larger than the hole on the other. (.7 something"&.8 something ") The local Kubota dealer says the pin is not specific to the Kubota. I need one. Does tractor supply carry such a pin?

It's probably that way to keep the pin from binding up. There are many forms of top-link pins. Any Farm or Tractor supply store should have plenty of them that would work.

Something doesn't add up?
What bucket on what?
Are we talking a backhoe attachment?

Thanks for clarifying.
in the factory pictures it shows what looks like it could be a very slight or small stepped or collared pin, but I think that's just the way they have drawn it. ;)
It is more likely that they punched the holes slightly larger on one side either by design, to keep the pin from getting wedged in (my guess), or one too many sake bombers by the production crew  and they just forgot to change the dies before running the other side.

It is oddly logical. The step might require some pulling force to loosen it (we all use a twisting motion don't we?) then after the step clears the pin suddenly looses half it's holding power, pulling out easily. That's the point were it flies out and we all bang our knuckles on the sharp metal thing next to the pin and start uttering four letter words.

Sound familiar? :D

Wolfman, I can't thank you enough. I made a pin out of one I found at tractor supply that was stepped just right by chance. Will definitely call my kubota dealer ot let him know that he is mistaken for future reference. I will order the correct pin while I have him on the phone.
