On the front off the engine on my 1975 l225 the pulley on the crank sticks out about 3 inches and is splined. Can I get a shaft that slips over that to drive something off of the front? I know it would run continual with the engine.
thanks

On my L225 I run a hydraulic pump off of the front spline. It powers my FEL.

Hey TCBRO, does your front mount hydraulic pump flow more GPM than the factory pump? My FEL is hooked up to the factory pump but the cycle times for the loader are pretty slow and if you're doing repeatitive loader work it becomes quite annoying.

Yes a front mounted pump will push more fluid and at a higher pressure than the old factory pump. ;)

Yes, definitely. I think the factory pump only pushes about 2 gal/minute. The auxiliary pump is much higher. My FEL is fast, sometimes faster than me! My set-up also has a separate reservoir. It's on the right side, FEL frame up-right, under the control valves. It's a completely self contained system.
