Hey, I have a Kubota L3800 DT. My niegbor is moving and has a KK 48XB tiller. The manual saids for up 25hp. King Kutter makes a 54 inch tiller for subcompacts 35hp. the parts break out shows the top and side gearboxs are the same! the only differance is the parts that are horozontal. I am just doing a small gardan and a smalll food plot= total maybe an acre and a half. Will my tractor tare up the tiller or will the tiller damage the tractor? The tiller is off-set.
Thanks for your input.
Buy the biggest tiller which will safely fit your tractor.
If you do go with king kutter make sure to buy the beefier model as there are differences in build. We run a 4 foot KK tiller behind an 18hp tractor and it's a perfect size. I sure wish I could run 6 footer though.
The weight difference between regular tiller and the beefier one has almost 200lbs.
In your case a 4 footer might be all you need.
A benefit of the KK is an adjustable slip clutch (correct me if I'm wrong)
If you think you're tractor is going to provide too much jam at the pto just adjust accordingly.
It's been a few years since I read up on KK so I require fact check.
