Hell ya....SPRING IS HERE
Undecided on what to do today I took a ride into town and consulted with a couple of my favorite mechanics. They are really nice and always willing to offer advice
They reminded me this is the best time to take advantage of preventive maintenance and be ready for this new season.
Remove all the machines coverings and give it a real good lube, friction is a bad thing
Well, I took there advice and gave my tractor a real good inspection. The worst I found was two wires that appear to have been chewed on by a rodent
Removed the wires and spliced in a new run with heat shrink and new conduit.
Also removed the box scraper from the 3PH to clean and inspect the lifting arm attach points. A couple of the bearings were stubborn and wouldn't move, but it's all good now.
Inspected all hydro lines and only found a couple that needed attention since the needed rerouting. Cleaned all the dirt and grit that builds up in between the hard lines and FEL. Not much clearance, if any, in those areas.
After I was done I stopped by to tell my mechanics about my accomplishments. They were cleaning up for lunch and they invited me along. Yep, spring is in the air
