i am curios to know what throttle everyone is using on there kubota? is it actually rare that i have both?

i personally only use the hand one to set my idle, the rest i use my foot. seems safer to me as the foot one is spring return. i even use the foot throttle for mowing.

I'm with the other two guys;
Depends on the job, anything long and constant like snow blowing the 1/2 mile drive I set the throttle, loader and tight space work foot throttle.

I generally use the hand throttle. Sometimes I sort of forget there IS a foot throttle.

On my M9000 cab I never use the foot throttle. My knee hiys the shifter tower and I really can't get my foot on the pedal and be comfortable. The open station 9000 was different, the foot throttle was very easy to access so it got used when needed.

Hand to set the work minimum speed/power range, foot to boost for when speed/power is needed.

I've run all the older iron I have to use that way and did the new L3200 that way out of habit. I haven't had to engage the diff-lock yet but then again, I haven't used the loader yet!

My foot gets tired if I just use the foot pedal for speed/power control! :p

Diff lock isn't made for everyday use. It more like a last resort to get you out of a bad spot without assistance from another machine.
My L3000 is a 2000 model and I don't recall ever using the diff lock on it and the loader is used all the time. I remember using it once on my M9000 when I spun out crossing a ditch at a angle.

I generally only use the diff-lock when in soft stuff and working the loader because usually the loader is filling and lifting, taking traction from the rear wheels, so engaging the lock gives me a bit more 'umph' at the end of a load up. It can be the difference between a heaping full bucket and a 3/4 full one. That doesn't mean much in small chores but in big ones it adds up fast.

Again, my experience is with older iron, so maybe this little L3200 of mine will dig better. I do like the single control... took me all of 30 seconds to get the feel for it... loved it!

Since I don't have a foot throttle, I must use the hand. I do however use the for throttle on our office's 850 John Deere. Love it. Wish my Bx has one.

I would suggest adding fluid to the rear tires if you haven't already done it. Makes a world of difference.
I agree. Once I loaded my rear R4's on my b3300SU I noticed a HUGE difference. One of the best dollar for dollar upgrades.... my opinion anyway

My dealer added fluid to the tires for free when I purchased the unit. The salesman (nicest guy on the planet) said "I don't sell loaders with 3 points that don't have weighted rear wheels!" and was adamant about putting it in, didn't charge me a dime for it either. I was buying a $20,000 tractor setup though... :D
