Looks to be in great shape! Good that you are breaking in the soon-to-be principle driver...

Yeah my daughter says its her tractor. Always telling me " come on dad, I go drive my tractor" as for the 'wheely' picture that was completely staged. Had the 3pt adjusted to full up pulled up to the hump in the yard put tractor in low started up hump let it roll back a tad popped clutch and see idled right up and balanced on the mower and I actually shut it off like this it just sat there. Put it back on all 4 by letting the 3pt down slowly. I normally have the mower adjusted on the 3pt were I can only lift it around 6inches.

I started not to even comment so if I piss you off I guess you'll just be pissed off.

Staged or not have you ever thought of what could happen?

What if your foot slipped off the clutch?
What if you got a sudden leg cramp and held the throttle wide open?
What if the clutch linkage broke and you lost control?

Back in the day I would have thought the pic was cool. Now I think you have never thought it thru and thought about what could happen. I have seen a 8N ford flip over backwards while bushhogging. I saw a man's world turn upside down when he backed over and killed his 4 year old son with a backhoe.

My point: equipment is already dangerous enough without "staging" a problem. You have a beautiful little girl who needs her daddy to help her thru life and keep teenage boys away. Yeah, She's your baby right now but blink a few times and she'll be grown up and wanting to go out with friends. It seems to happen over night.

You're a grown man and can do as you choose but none of us are to old to learn from our mistakes.

Well, I'm not quite as adamant about it as Bulldog, but you need a ROPS on that tractor before trying a stunt like that with some level of safety.

If she starts to go over, you'll shear the pins or bend the arms on your 3pt and it will sandwich you between the tractor and the mower. You will not survive the 'stunt'. So, ROPS would be minimum safe gear for this kind of image.

I admire your bravery for staging that but my first reaction was "Ouch, the front end isn't going to like coming down!" Having sheared both spindle shafts, lug nugs, broken hubs and swivel arms doing exactly that, I don't court that level of damage to my tractors intentionally.

It's a nice unit and you have a very cute little girl! Congratulations on both!

I have had front wheels up, but only a couple inches
Was testing my homebuilt three point forks.
700 lbs is impressive, but nerve wracking to
Say the least. People end up in situations
Like this every day,and it does help to know
The limits of your machines, but pushing beyond
That can make for a major incident.play safe.

I had a bud that would pull the wheels off the ground all the time, of course that was in a Willies coupe with a 460 H&M motor

the adjustments to get the tractor to do this was done 2 feet from were it is in the picture, the tractor was idled up to the "wheelie" then shut off, a few pictures were taken (for a local photo contest), i then (without starting) slowly lowered the tractor back down by slowly relieving presser on the 3pt, then i adjusted everything back to were i run it. the second picture set was taken after doing this before i put my front weights back on (the home made bracket is visible in the pictures). this is not something i would normally do, nor was i all that comfortable when i did it, but i have photos of it so i put one on here for you guys to see an ol girl "showing off". and this was the only time my daughter was near/on the tractor with the mower attached and it was off before she was anywhere near. im that way with anyone, and any rotating equipment.

Thanks for the full explanation, and don't get the feeling we are just trying to bust your B***$.
It's just that most all of us want to promote a safe tractor working situation!
It's always so sad when you see a tractor upside down on top of someone! :(
