Korean War 1951-54, as Executive Officer on LST 845. Now let's see who can beat that history timing or earlier.

AZ: Inchon? That was a little before my time over there. Been to a few LST 845 reunions, but the old guys are mostly dead now or can't travel. There is a LST that is being kept up these days. That LST, returned from being owned by Greece is at Evansville, Indiana. However, the old guys trying to keep it going are becoming scarce also. Google LST325 and get some scoop about it. Some of my crew worked on it.

Yessir! Inchon was Sep 1950. Was quite a bit before my time. Shoulda remembered the date since we studied it in Air War College. The LSTs were amazing vessels and I'm sure you have plenty of stories to tell. You Korean vets should have gotten a lot more credit for that one. Let me right the wrong if only a little--thank you these years later for your service. All who came after you owe your generation a debt of gratitude!
