Not going to knock ol ORANGE, but the newest thing with zero turn is the steering wheel rather than the two handles, if you have a fairly flat ground the two levers system is great, you can spin around in a tight place and even on a dime, but the big drawback is traveling on a hillside. Since the front wheels are free to pivot, the machine needs to be cheated up the hill, a little more left or right stick, and sometimes the wobble can be a problem. The newer system with the steering wheel allows one handed, not that it is important but the front stays put. I have cut many a dozen athletic field with a zero and it is great, then I have had to cut a few hillsides and it kinda sucks......Anyone own one of these? Been looking for a zero turn and I love my mx4700. Want to keep it Orange!!
I considered the Kommander, it's a very good looking mower. But they only offered the Briggs and kolher 7000 series engines, and 36 month 0% financing. So I narrowed it down to the Bad Boy ZT elite, Dixie chopper Raptor, Hustler Fast Track, and Ferris IS600z, all offered the Kawasaki engine and 48 month 0% financing. I chose the Ferris because it has independent suspension, and the Kawasaki FS engine instead of the RS. It also has a 4 year 500 hour warranty, and it was cheaper than the Kommander. I've mowed 3 times with it and I couldn't be happier with my decision. P.S. Bad Boy only has a 2 year warrantyThanks Hokie, I have all flat land here in NE Texas, it's the first ztr kubota has offered I could afford, was just wondering if anyone had put one to work yet. Been looking at the Exmark and Bad Boy in comparison
