This is my first tractor, I have had it about 1 year now. I have never dealt with hydraulics before or a tractor for that matter.
the learning curve has been large but I am doing pretty well.
My question is this? I have rear remotes with just 2 ports and the hydraulic control is mounted on top of the fender. Its position is just 2 ways push forward or push back and it returns to center. If I want to control a 3 point top link is it as simple as 1 line to one end and one line to the other and just pull back or push forward for in and out of the top link????
next question I have a 25 ton log splitter and if I wanted to control this with the tractor could I bypass all hydraulics on the splitter and just pipe into the splitter ram with the same action as I stated above? from posts I have read they say this might be too slow, I only split wood now from cut downs and dead falls not for my heat any longer as went to a whole house pellet furnace.

Yes, it's that simple. I have it on my B2620 too. I don't run a splitter off my tractor, but I have also read it will be slow. But should be fine for what you described you need it for.

Yes you can hook the lines from the top link to the couplers and it will work just like you think.

Yes you can hook up just the ram of the log splitter and run it from the tractor valve, but not the control of the log splitter, to do that would need to run off a different type feed, that would supply constant flow.
Yes it will be slow, but not that slow as your pump has good flow.

Important note: Remember that any fluid that's in the ram will end up in the tractor, it's Important that the GST fluid not get contaminated with standard hydraulic fluid, as it will act funny and shift odd if it does.

Thanks wolfman I did know about the fluid as I just got rid of all the tractor supply fluid in my tractor and put in all new UDT 2. My plan is to flush the ram with udt and then fill it with udt before I do this.:)
if I buy a top link ram are they shipped empty so this wont be a problem?
