I just bought a kubota L35 with 1700 hours. I am going through it and changing all fluids and filters and noticed that somebody cut the air intake hose (hose that goes from filter housing into the engine intake) and inserted what looks like a crankcase hose into the cut. I'm sure this is not the way it came from the factory and looks like an easy way for dirt to get in the engine.

Where is the hose from the crankcase supposed to go? I've looked for a picture or schematic on the internet and can't find anything.

The hose off the Valve cover just runs down below the motor, not connected to anything.
But I bet that it's got an oil dripping problem or blow by and that's why they piped it in like that.
Let us know if that's the case.
