Wow... I put 50+ hours on my every week, And I don't use it for mowing or a business.
LOL... I'm envious Wolfman...Once I get my 17 year old out of high school and quit "following" him around at his sports/school commitments I wanna be just like you....Been retired for over a year and still don't know how I got things done when I was working...:);)

Hi there everyone..Yes, I am the NFG now, just signed up a few minutes ago. Very happy to have a new 2013 L3800 HST with only 26 hours on it. Having great fun exploring with my new "toy". I do have 2 early issues that perhaps someone can expalin for me:
1). Transmission is noisy when pedal is depressed from stand still position. Presumably this is the noise of the hyd. oil rushing through the ports of the distribution valve, but not sure. Rather loud, and rather annoying! Are all HST's like this?
2). My 524 FEL bucket leading edgedoes not seem to by lying flat, across its length, when on the ground. Dealer has suggested the sub mount frame bolts might not be in perfect alignment, comparing left to right side. This can apparently be fixed by loosening them off and then retightening these bolts when the bucket is laying on flat even surface. I'm just hoping I haven't bent anything! Anyone else have this experience?
Thanks for all your input

Hi Wayne. Cool, I'm not the NFG anymore. I believe what you are hearing is the HST. On my test drive of a new HST, I noticed the same thing. I also hear it in videos I watch, so I think its normal.

#1 Yes, but it might get a little quieter after some use and after you do your first fluid and filter change, use SUDT 2 make a world of difference!

#2 Yes very likely, but also check you tire pressures, a low rear tire will cause the tractor to lean to the low side. ;)

Yes, HST is noisy.

If loosening and re-tightening the loader bolts doesn't work, chain the high
side to a stump and left with all she's got.
