Long time in limbo... glad to be back!

Here is my question(s). has anyone split a B2410 HSD for what ever reason? I have 1540 hours on my machine and I thing I am beginning to pick up a throw out bearing noise.
In anticipation for bearing replacement I have a couple of questions.

1. Is there a grease fitting on the on the throw out bearing pilot shaft sleeve? If so how do I get to it?

2. If you were going to the trouble of splitting your HSD tractor with 1540 hours... what would you check and replace as preventative maintenance?

I would check to see how much adjustment you have left on the parking break and if they need to be replaced while you are in there.
Gotcha... I have never had to adjust it as I have a little more than a half peddle... but I will check that. I have already replaced the front universal without having to split the tractor... That is where I got my McGiver badge from Vic...

I am just wondering how long it will take me to split it ... I have a full service shop/garage/ building (42X32)... my wife told me if I carted in one more toy I'd have to move out there... so I bought a propane gas range and a couple fridges.

I've split a few, depending how deep you need to get into it I would say a good day to get into it, day to repair and day to get it back together.
Send the wife to go visit someone for a short week and you should be safe! :p:D
