hello all,
i have a b9200 with bf350-a loader. Dealer tells me that there is no bushings on this loader. I have a person here with a manual that says the same thing. Can you look at the picture and tell me what the squre/rectangle looking parts are? As you probably know by now this is my first loader so I am very sorry if this is a stupid question.

Thanks

"the squre/rectangle looking parts " are welded to the ends of the pins that connect the loader/bucket and the hydraulic pistons. This "squre/rectangle looking parts "prevents the pin from turning when you extend or retract the pistons there by distributing the grease better.

ok sweet. thank you for your information. So i would assume that by getting new pins they will come with these square pieces already welded on them - is that correct? The bucket has some significant slap in it so i would like to correct that by changing the pins... do you think that would fix the issue?

Thank you,
Jake

Yep olthumpa nailed it, that square is attached to the pin.
Sadly if there is a lot of wear and it's in the cross tube on the loader cylinders you will need to either get those cut off and replaced or reamed out and have bushings installed.
But pull the pins and check for wear.

Hi Jake,
I did say earlier that they were pins with greese nipples fitted to the end, and that the shoulders were to stop the pins from spinning around, i assume you didnt get my PM . not sure why i bothered replying back with the info now to be honest

Mr. 9200

For a first time poster, it would appear the Englishman might show some courtesy. I see another sassy reply to a guy also.

On the subject of bushings on a loader, the inside of the "pipe" carrying the pin will wear in a non circular manner. A bushed joint then is pretty difficult to do. I'd live with it.

Keeping the joint filled with grease will help extend the life. However, remember a joint with some grease in it which allows dirt in also will wear a whole lot faster than if you used no grease at all. If you have ever ground engine valves you will know why.

Look at the pins on the tracks of a dozer and you will see no grease fittings for that reason.

on the basis that i had all ready provided jake with all the correct information from the correct manaul that he needed in numeruous emails , along with the option available to him, i was to be honest a little disapointed that he felt the need to disregard the info , only to get the exact replies again directly on the forum.
I was offended that after asking me for the help, i gave him what he needed , he then appeared to not believe it:confused:

why ask me for my assistance:(

just to be 100% clear , so there can be no question on this subject.

here is the parts manual data.

1 pin , no bushes avail .
greese point in pin, shouldered to prevent rotation!

Rob:

What's this stuff spelled greese? Any relation to Geese?

Over here the word nipples has a different meaning also. They come in pairs.

Rob,
Here is what actually happened... I couldn't figure out how to insert a picture into PM so i decided to make a new thread which allowed me to put a picture in it right of way. After all that i found an attachment button in the PM which allowed me to put a picture in your reply.

As i said before, i do greatly appreciate your and anyone else's help and i normally don't ask questions just to ask them simply because i value my time as much as yours.

So again, thank you for your input. I will be taking the pins out this weekend to take a look at the housing and go from there.

Jake
