3 pt lowering speed knob

I have a 2012, L3200 HST, 4wd and I can't get the 3pt lowering speed knob to turn. I am hesitant to put a wrench to it. Any knowledge on how to adjust this knob.

Clockwise is slow, Counterclockwise is fast. Clockwise to the stops is locked.

Does it have a locking nut on it to hold it in position that needs to be loosened first?

No, but sometimes they are a bear to get to turn.

When I first got my new machine, it was a son of a gun to turn....the first time, after that it wasnts too bad. Place something around the knob, glove etc to increase the size and see if the extra torque will free it up before the wrench.
