Does someone have the part number for the gear shift boot on a non-hst B7100

You can look up part numbers on the Kubota website

They have an on line illustrated part list.

I think the part you need is

66591-18420 COVER M/S CHANGE

Got the number off the receipt for my shift boot.

According to my parts manual (from 1982) it is called: "COVER, main speed change" PN: 66591-1842-0

Even if the part number has been superseded this should get you started in your search.

I've gone through about 5 of these shift boots in 7 years. They keep tearing on me. I wish I could find a better alternative. They cost about $8 a piece. Any ideas?

Are they drying out in the sun and cracking? If so maybe some 303 UV protectant or similar?

I second that. I put a new boot on one of my B7100's 2 years ago when I bought it. It stays in my tractor shed out of the elements. I just noticed last time I was using it, the 2 year old boot had cracked. I stays covered so no worries from rain but when I use the snow blower every thing including the boot and me gets covered with snow. Maybe instead of another new boot I will think about a cab.

Wow, I guess I better check my boot very carefully. Never really paid much attention to it. It must be over 30 years old.

Always keep my tractor in a shed. Maybe cold (below zero) weather has something to do with it.
