I readily admit pinching two saws in a corkscrew soft maple after I dropped it. 45 years ago. Very embarrassing, but did have another bar and chain to finish the job.

Three bars in a standing softwood makes me think he was trying to overcome too much lean and it crushed down on the bar(s)?!?

Might need to cut a pocket in the back cut side for a hydraulic jack.

We had a large oak the got split from around 2ft off the ground up to around 40. The split went smack dab through the middle and you could see daylight.

My father in law brought over his old dodge. We hooked the winch up to the tree, and as I started cutting.

One half dropped as I cut through it and pinched the bar.

Neighbor brought over his saw and did it again 🙄🙄🙄
