I bought a b2150dcd but the 3 point hitch and loader won’t work without revving up the engine. Anyone know what’s wrong?

I have a 2013 BX with about 400 ish hours - I have to give a little rev boost to get the hydraulics to move, yes they will move at idle but damn it is slooooow.

Is there a screen somewhere that needs cleaning? I found some research that says the hst have screens but what about the b2150’s that are gear drive?

Thanks for the help but there’s no screen there. That line on my b2150 doesn’t run there. It runs to the loader valve.
Your tractor has a spin-on filter, right? No screen, I think. But there are rubber connectors with clamps between the sump and pump. Any leak there can cause a problem, that rubber elbow has been known to crack.

Yes, spin on filter. No screen. No leaks.

First off you have a B2150D not a B2150dcd.

Several options to what's going on:
Leak in the suction system.
Leaks in the suction side can present as wet spots and nothing more (look at all the green locations.
Weak / worn pump.
Wrong hydraulic fluid, that tractor should be using UDT or a good UDT substitute.
Bad / malfunctioning pressure relief valve, this is normally associated with all around weak hydraulics.
Plumbing done wrong to the loader valve.

Yes, spin on filter. No screen. No leaks.
I am not into guessing.

Pull the supply hose off the loader, stick it in the hydraulic filler, and start the tractor. If its flowing you will know the suction side is not the problem.

If you have flow shut it off, connect a pressure gsuge to the hose, start it back up and see what sort of pressure you are getting.

Blue is the main, and yellow is the accessory.

Its been almost a week and still no answer to the most basic question.

Connect a pressure gauge to the pump discharge line and check pressure at 1000 and 2000 RPM. Do that with the hydraulic system cold. Then disconnect the gauge, run the tractor long enough to get the oil good and hot, and test again.

That will give you a good idea of the health of the pump. If there is a big difference in pressure between low and high RPM and it gets worse when the oil is hot the pump is likely worn and bypassing internally. With 2000+ hours that would not be unusual.

Haven’t got a gauge to test that. Took the pump off and gonna put new seals in and see if that helps

I can't say this without sounding like a know-it-all, but . . .
You're new here and I've watched Dan, TheOldHokie, help several/many people on here with hydraulic problems over the last few years. Fortunately , he has displayed the patience of Job. Several have attempted to bypass his methodical steps and, almost unanimously, ended up following his advice. Bad pump seals is a low % play. You could have bought a gauge cheaper than the seals. It's your tractor and your $, but troubleshooting almost always saves time and money.
