    Truck / trailer questions

I'm going Chevy or GMC most likely. I talked to a trailer place and he said he sees no issues pulling that weight with a 1/2 ton either. He also said he would recommend a 10k trailer as they are built sturdier and pull nicer, bigger tires etc. He did add that the difference in price is...

    Truck / trailer questions

I had noted that in my post as well and was curious to others experiences. My tractor with the cutter is pretty darn long. There is for surely going to be some weight on the hitch. I guess it just depends how far back I can keep the tractor to be over the axles of the trailer.

To tow a larger tractor I think you would want the 3/4. You are right on the top of the weight rating and while it would probably do it, its gonna be sagging. I'm gonna be about 1/2 the weight as you. Maybe a little more then half.

    Truck / trailer questions

This is a good point. With my current 1/2 ton I can feel even a single 4 wheeler trailer behind me. I pull a 24ft enclosed trailer for work with a 1 ton diesel and can't really feel it most of the time. I do prefer not having it tug me around. Very good point.

    Truck / trailer questions

Longest trip would be maybe 2 hours to hunting camp. Other then that short trips. Under an hour. Mostly hwy more then likely. Not taking it into big cities. I live in northern MN. I won't be going anywhere near the twin cities.

    Truck / trailer questions

Yeah prices are ridiculous. I'm not too concerned with the option package. It will not be my daily driver, I have a car that takes me to and from work just fine. With that said, going to higher package route doesn't seem to be that much more, maybe 2-3k. Would hopefully help with re-sale. We...

    Truck / trailer questions

That's kind of where I am at. Would the 3/4 be better, sure, but is the juice worth the squeeze. I had the dilemma when buying my tractor. The 2610 or the 3310. I went 2610 and saved ~4k and glad I put that toward attachments. I haven't done anything with my 2610 that the 3310 would have done 4k...

    Truck / trailer questions

Yeah I would love to just get the 3/4 but where I live that is easily another 8-10k for a comparable truck, miles etc. I just want to be certain I need to spend it, or should or should not spend it. Thanks for the input.

    Truck / trailer questions

This may be the wrong spot for this, if so let me know. I'm in the market for a new truck and trailer. I want to be able to haul my LX2610 with a cab, with loader, rotary cutter, grapple and I also have rim guard in the rears. Added up it looks like I am right around the 4000lb mark with that...

Pink bar is again on the SsQa mount. You can also see the right side of the SSQA mount is tweaked counterclockwise a bit. Which would also add to the issue. The measurement between the two SSQA plates is almost a 1/4" different top to bottom.

I moved the bolts from the locked position to the trip position. So those bolts migrate back and forth. They are currently doing nothing and just "stored" there.

Am I picky or is this within "spec"? STB1072 plow

There is very little up and down play if the plow is mounted to the tractor and in the air. I also looked for washers or something they installed incorrectly from one side to the other to make up the difference but there doesn't appear to be anything like that. The SSQA plate is welded to the A...

Took the plow off the tractor so thats no longer a variable. In the picture the pink bar is a straight piece of unistrut sitting on the QA mount. You can see the difference/ angle vs the top of the plow blade.

I'm pretty confident in the fact it is the plate / plow, always was, as for me, it is very easy to see in person. Pictures are difficult though and I understand that. I should not have posted the picture I did, didn't realize it was going to be such a difficult issue to express. I understand...

Am I picky or is this within "spec"? STB1072 plow

Easy to say I am not impressed with this product so far. All my other Land Pride stuff is still in great shape after 3 years with very little rust anywhere. I did notice the rust but didn't pay attention to if it was even powder coated or not. I'll have to look today.

Am I picky or is this within "spec"? STB1072 plow

I said in my post the tape was just pointing at where I measured. I'm not gonna try and measure and take pictures In all those spots. Gist is that the a-frame that attaches to the qa bracket we'll say is what was welded crooked. I have had the tractor in many different locations.

Ok, So I got back out after dinner and did some measuring etc. For anyone who said my tractor wasn't level good job, the first level picture, the more level one, is the top of the QA of the blade attached to the tractor, so not perfectly level, I award all of you 1 attaboy. The second level...

Am I picky or is this within "spec"? STB1072 plow

I have 3 other front end attachments and none of them have this issue, so I'm pretty confident its not the tractor. I noticed the issue in my yard first. Then went to the driveway, blacktop, same issue. Then went to the garage floor. Same issue, same side low. So at least its consistent. Ha.
