I used 1/2 think belt the first yr and bumped up to 5/8 last yr,, worked better, left about 1 1/2" exposed..and more and when in float mode, the weight of a blade will prob cause the belt to fold over and take a set, You want a bit of a fold when plowing, but static, it shouldn;t be folding over...

1" metal conduit fit on the exhaust pipe on my BX, I made up an elbow so the soot wont blow out on the loader, and then if needed, I can put some armored cable outer shell that had the wires removed, I got it at a scrap yard for a buck or two. works great on Gopher holes

So glad I chose a BX over the Massey etc,, I looked at Massey yesterday and the frame, the body, the EVERYTHING was not as robust as the Kubota,,and the guy paid the same as me,, Didn't have the heart to ruin his day............
