Ordered a 12V power point from the B2601 to put on my B2620.

I didn't want a cab tractor, but for those times when it is really brutal blowing snow in the winter, I bought a new full face helmet with a heated visor. So I needed a way to plug it in. Now I can use it for winter tractor, atv and snowmobile time.

Just have to decide where to put it.

And what do you all think....should I feed it's power off the starter where my dealer powered the work lights off of......or somewhere else.

OK first and foremost what is the draw of the heating unit? How many amps will it draw. That would be the starting point as to where you should hook it up. You could just come off the battery to a fuse block and then to a solenoid and switch if its that high but I doubt it is, to turn it on,,
THE MAIN THING is to protect the circuit,, via a fuse or a circuit breaker

That's similar to one I installed on my L3800. I believe most are rated at 10amps. I installed mine on the right side of the dash. For my wiring I have 6awg wires from the battery to a 100amp relay triggered by the ignition switch going into a 6 slot fuse block also under the dash, and a 10 amp fuse going to the 12v outlet. I have pictures of my set up but my internet isn't good enough to post but if someone wanted I could email them and they could be posted on here.

Do exactly what Skeets said, I don't think that it is a high amp output device, but wiring the plug correctly should be your #1 concern. You could wire it hot all the time, OR go through the relay so that it pulls from battery only via the relay/key on. I would NOT tap into existing wires. Start from scratch.

I got the plug for a B2601 from my dealer for 20 bucks. Still haven't had time to touch it yet though.

Wrong power port.

You will either have to get an adapter like this

or a different power point like this

Got the one in your first pic as my Polaris has a 12V power point too and want to use it on both.

Yes the helmet shield has a stereo speaker type plug, but I'm just going to wire in the new male end.

Where did you find that first adapter Olthumpa?? That would save me from having to cut and splice.
