Hi guys,
Sorry I've been out of the conversation for a few days but I have just been pondering things.
If it works I am attaching a picture from the BOSS plow manual the dealer gave me.
After reviewing the specs of the RTV-X 1140 again, the turning radius is 17ft. and the turn around area in front of my garage is what I struggle with on my tractor using the back blade.
Now I find myself leaning more to the RTV-X 1100 two seater, with a turning radius of only 13 ft. And since using it for plowing is really high on my priority list I guess when the grand children come over they will just have to take turns going for rides. I stopped out at the dealers lot today and got a look at the 1100 cab models like ItBMine and really like it. I really like ItBMine set up with the blower. My dads old Sears garden tractor had a blower and was great for all the reasons previously listed.
There is a YouTuber I watch regularly, Adam from "Hometown Acres" and he started with a blade on a two seater and ended up going to a front mounted blower powered by a self contained four cycle gas engine and he really likes it also. Unfortunately on the Kubota website it lists the 1100 cab model starting at $26,000. Yeah crazy expensive. So I am now leaning towards the RTV-X 1100 with no cab and just opting for the roof and windshield. And the worksite tires. Lots of videos of guys using and liking them. I live east of Cleveland ohio in the snow-belt and the last four winters haven't been too bad, only a couple big snows each year but this year I have already cleared my driveway and my neighbors, about a dozen or more times and at 5-6 inches each time. Some have been wet and heavy.
The bed is still a good size to haul firewood and having a 2"receiver in the rear I can haul my log splitter to the pile instead of vise versa.
My wife is looking forward to driving it (during the summer) although I don't see her clearing snow with it so I just need to make up my mind and by going with the 1100 two seater I'll cut the cost and put it towards the v-plow or blower both similar in cost.
