My neighbor has a ZG127s zero turn that the engine runs with seat switch, pulling the levers inward and also starting the pto. But the second you move the levers forward or back the engine dies. Anyone have a clue as he replaced the switches for the levers and still nothing? It's like we are missing a switch somewhere? Thanks in advance Rich

If I can remember correctly the ZG127 I had the switches on the levers made contact with the arms out. They did not have a Neutral switch, only in and out.
There is a brake switch, but that doesn’t describe your symptoms.

That's what has me baffled as he said he replaced the switches at the levers which your correct in that they only are in affect when the levers are in the outer position. And I sat on it running and you pull the levers in it still is running and the second you push or pull them to move it kills the engine.

Thank you Mikester I'll check that out when I get back to my shop. I think the preliminary check I did on that checked ok. But I'll check again

There is no electrical connection to the levers for moving back an forwards.
Pull the fuel hose off the shut-off on top of the fuel tank, using needle-nose pliers, and remove the fuel draw tube from its grommet.
Using a blow gun, shoot a blast backwards through the fuel draw tube. It may have a wad of grass partly plugging it.
Some units have a screen on the bottom of the tube; some do not. They can suck up debris which get cought in the 90 degree bend.

More info ! Ok I got home tonight and checked my neighbors mower and it doesn't appear to have a micr switch on the park brake and he was incorrect in telling me that you can pull the levers inward and the engine will still run. It dies the minute you go to pull the levers inward. His seat sensor is disconnected and bypassed. What I did notice was while I had it running and checked the fuses they were all good except the first 7.5 Amp fuse was good but had no power to either side of it ? Not sure yet what it powers but while I had it running I sat on the seat and everything worked. I drove it around engaged the blades etc. Drove it back in my shop shut it off, checked oil, air press etc. Went to start it again and the levers again killed the engine ? And although the seat sensor is bypassed I bounced on the seat and everything started working again ? Looking under the seat the sensor isn't even plugged in and the wires are clearly bypassed correctly . GREMLINS ? lol I did also notice on initial start up I had to use carb cleaner to start it. So I'll check that fuel inlet inthe tank later today. But this engine shutting off I'm perplexed ?

There is a switch on the brake. Part #K3011-62210. It’s on the parking brake, left side of the machine.

Some Kubota equipment have two seat switches and one of them is inside the seat bottom. I doubt that is on a lawnmower though but you need to be sure that there is only one seat switch.

And the bypassed switch may have loose connections for the bypass???

If it is intermittently dying when the levers are pulled in, the most common failure is the Park Brake switch. It is mounted to the bottom of the battery box.
