Zero turn safety switch problem

I was having trouble with my mower (321 HDZ) not starting and the problem appeared to be in the safety switch at the brake pedal. This switch was replaced and now the mower only starts when the brake pedal is not engaged. I have reversed the plug position with the same results. Now the mower starts, but when I attempt to put it in the forward position, it dies. Any ideas of what may be causing this?

Sounds like the wrong switch was installed. Would need to see the wiring diagram to see if it's a NC or NO form switch. Some mfrs color code the body,others use same switch for 'everything' ,with wiring taking care of business.

The mower would not start bought one off of eBay put it on and it will start with the break off. Thought it might be backwards so bought one from Kabota dealer same results.
