I have a ZD21 w/ RCK60P-21Z mower deck. I just finished the rebuild of the mower deck gearbox (bevel gear case) and replaced the tension pulley (bearings on the tension pulley seemed fine) and put on a mower deck belt while it was apart. I didn't realize until I got everything back together that the old tension pulley had been rubbing the mower deck. The new belt isn't stretched and holds the pulley back a bit more so the wear on the deck is visible. The pulley arm bolt is tight, but the tension pulley is in contact with the mower deck. Is this a common problem? Has the pulley arm worn the deck down where it bolts in? I did everything without removing the deck, so I didn't see the deck where the tension pulley arm bolts. I haven't started it yet. What do I do? Do I have to take it back apart and weld the deck? Can I run it like it is? What about for a couple 2 hour mows?
