I am a new owner of a used 2002 ZD21 mower. I would like to replace the mower belt. It looks like I would need to remove the mower deck to do this. From what I can see, it only seems to be attached by four clevis pins and a propeller shaft to the PTO. Are there any tricks to doing this that would be helpful? Should I lower the deck onto a dolly or a creeper before I remove the pins so I can slide it out the side or front? does the propeller shaft just slide out?
Does the deck have to removed for any maintenance, including grease? all the fittings don't seem readily accessible. Thanks in advance for any tips or help
