New to me mower with 626 hrs so I am wanting to change the HST fluid and filters. The previous owner damaged the purge plug on one of the drive units (motor?).
I am in the process of dropping the drive units and discovered that the drive belt tensioner was not free to move. Now that the tensioner arm is on my workbench, what is the best way to free up the bushing (#20, #30 in diagram)?

I've used propane torch to get capital 'W' warm to little 'h' hot, then quirt oil ,several times, then some gentle back and forth turning with little 'g' gripped vice grips. One of those , you'll know how much, once you get started. Patience, heat ,oil it'll get freed up...

Not sure what to grab a hold of with vice grips. I guess I could put a bolt thru it with a nut and tighten those as that should grip the part that is supposed to move...

yeah, one of those 'need to be there to see it'. with 010 (arm ?) in a vice, maybe tap a socket or bolt to push 020 (sleeves) out. I've used 1/4" drive sockets just a little smaller than a bushing , to press them out.Firm tap of a hammer, reheat if needed, oil, wait 5 steamboats, tap again....
Once out and cool, clean ,fine file them 'silky smooth', lots of neverseize (wipe excess off though..)

looks like a bronze bushing(2 pcs , #020 with a steel 'insert' #030
should be able to press out, using shop press or a vice
vice jaw -big socket-arm-small socket-vice jaw
big socket size of arm shoulder,
small socket size of bronze bushing

get a helper to hold, while you tighten the vice, small socket pushes bushing into big socket

Was looking for something else and stumbled upon this old thread and noticed I never updated it with the outcome.

Kroil, patience, large vice and two sockets (large one to "receive" the bushing, small one to just press on the inner one got it out. Took quite a bit of work to get them out. Cleaned them up and put it back together and it's working fine. Thanks for all the suggestions.
