I have the 422 with suspension seat, my second summer using it. 54” deck nice heavy duty mower. My only complaint is the three acres I cut is not smooth like a golf course and even with the suspension seat it’s still a rough ride but I’m old with spine issues. I hear theFerris with the suspension frame is a better ride but they’re about three grand more than the kubota

I have the Z422 with the 60” deck and I love the mower but just like Steve67 said the suspension seat can be a rough ride on real bumpy ground. To be fair I weigh in at 225 lbs so a much lighter person may not even notice most of the bumps at a higher setting of the seat suspension. I just slow it down over the bumps and then it goes back to hustle speed. I added the mulching kit myself and it does an ok job of mulching.

I have a good perspective. I had a z421 for 4 years mowing 7-8 acres with some rough spots. No fancy seat. Loved the mower and it was a workhorse.

i now have a ferris with suspension and fancy seat and holy hell. Ill never go back now.
Its surely pricier but bumpy mowing hurts more every year.

I didn't see a way to grease the spindles on the deck so unsure about the long term.
