Hi guys I have built a new home and I am trying to get my grass planted in between the heavy rains. My yard has recently been graded with a dozer and rock hounded. Then the heavy rains came and caused some washouts. I have a slope behind my house that allows the water to pick up speed and take my top soil. I have a front loader on my new BX but I was wondering what attachment you recommend for my tractor that would help me out with filling in the washouts and smoothing things out. Can they be rented? What size?

Thanks

I have a bx1870. We put in a pool a couple of years ago and the builder didn’t do any grading. I picked up an EverythingAttachments box blade and love it. It backfilled holes from electrical runs, moved dirt, and smoothed it all out for me. Once I was done the grading, I ran a tiller over it to create a seedbed and the grass came in like sod.

Here’s how they left my yard:

Like the others have said. You need a box blade with rippers. 48" would be the correct size for your BX.

I've never used one, but I have seen video's of them in action. they are designed to do exactly what you want.
