I have an older Woods BH650 backhoe that I had used on an old Bolens H1704 compact tractor. I will be selling the tractor but would like to use the backhoe on the Kubota B7510HSD tractor I just recently purchased. Would I use a subframe to use the hoe on that tractor or do they normally mount backhoes on the three-point hitch? If by subframe, does anyone have any old drawings that could help me having someone fabricate a subframe?

I'd definitely do a subframe on a small tractor. But call woods they actually make a subframe that I believe works on the bh650 as well for your b7510. Could be wrong so please verify

I’m new here Mountain man. I just read a 10 year old post of yours. Trying to add a BH to our 2012 model year 7800. It requires a sub-frame that doesn’t come with todays 4 point attached models. He’s got BH 77’s in his yard. Our 40 years in business dealer couldn’t find one in the warehouse. He called the mfg. and learned that subframe part is no longer made. He said he would further check to see if that is a part offered by Landpride under a different number. Your thoughts please. Would Bradco or Woods models have the same subframe availability problem?

It's possible Woods made a subframe, but it's probably discontinued by this point and might be difficult to locate. They do have good historical tech support, so they might be able to help you. The equivalent kubota backhoe (B4672) would have mounted to the B7510 by way of three-point hitch. I believe it wasn't until the generation after yours where the 4-point hitch became standard.

And if you install a 3PH backhoe on your B7510 you MUST install a heavy duty top link bracket in place of the one on your tractor now. There’s a high probability you will break the transmission rear housing otherwise.
