I would like to connect a GCK60 23BX vacuum to my BX2200 tractor. I have all the components except the two brackets that fasten to the tractor. My Kubota dealer sells them for about 200 bucks. The part I don't like is that I must remove the 3 point hitch to bolt on the brackets. I was wondering....... If I got one of those Quick Hitches could I use that in place of the Kubota brackets? I assume I must extend the length of the drive shaft. I just don't like the idea of removing the 3 point hitch whenever I want to mow with the vacuum. Will This Work?, Thanks

Pictures might help. Some of us have experience with Cyclone Rake, but the suction is produced by an onboard engine. The pto is running the mid mount mower. What did you mean by drive shaft?

Have a look at the unit on u-tube. It sits right up close to the rear of the machine, with the arms of the 3 point hitch removed. It is powered by the rear power take off. Not an additional motor. I need advice from someone familiar with this unit. Thanks

What is the purpose of this forum. Why send someone to the dealer?
Not trying to be rude, but you asked the question, and if you want advice you should post pictures, and not just say "Take a look" without even posting a link at what you want people to look at.

First, the u-tube video shows much more than I can post myself. Secondly, I am looking for someone who has the vacuum or is familiar with how it works. Why would you respond to a post you know nothing about?

Well, because I got sucked into reading the thread by a meaningless thread title I guess.

But mostly because I thought if you posted your question with more detail you could get better help.

Second, there are A LOT of videos On YouTube. Common courtesy to post a link if you expect people to view the one you are referring to.

By the way...Can you tell me the secret of how you know the things I know nothing about? Intriguing! :D

Abbx there are a lot of folks on this forum that could fab up the whole rig from scratch if they wanted to. If you are able to post pictures and ask your question again, you may get some answers from them even if they have not used your particular machine. You “might“ be able to use a quick hitch if the pto shaft is not interfered with as you surmise, but you would have to take the measurements. Typically the issue with the 3pt to haul something is what happens when it is raised and lowered. There was a thread where someone wanting to use the 3pt to dump their leaf vac, and it isn’t completely straightforward. Apparently no one has got your particular machine.

re: If I got one of those Quick Hitches could I use that in place of the Kubota brackets?

I'd say no, as a 'quickhitch' gets attached to the 3ph 'arms'. I'm assuming the brackets you refer to allow the device to be mounted to the tractor frame, that it is NOT a 3ph implement. It'd be nice to have a 'link' to the installation manual though I understand 'computers' aren't everyone's 'cup of tea' !!
Now, depending on how 'complex' the brackets are , it might be cheaper to have a fabshop make them.
I'll Google some mor enow that my office has been returned to being an office, had a newborn lamb stay here overnight.....cute thing...
Jay
edit ...found this...

appears there's 2 versions... 1- hard mount onto tractor, 2- 3ph mount..

Mr. Greensvillejay, you have been very helpful! (refreshing). I am aware of the two types. (3 pt and brackets). My original thought was to convert to the 3 point style. It would be set farther back and I would need a longer driveshaft. The unit is put away for the winter. When mowing time comes along I will match it up and see if something could be done to avoid removing the 3 point hitch. If not I will fab up a template and have brackets made up. Thank you
