Any ideal places or tips? I also need my trekking poles occasionally but they telescope down to a reasonable length.

Thanks.

I think something like this would work

If you have a ROPS you could mount it on that, or a tower on the FEl. You might be able to mount it in front of the steering wheel area.

There are many different styles of this but this one is removable and will not leave any damage.

A wise member of the forum gave me a good hack using the cross tube of the loader for shovels and rakes etc…I suppose I should pay it forward 🙄. It may not be at your hand from the operator station but if you can climb down and hold loader frame until you get to cross tube maybe that would work?

'ideal' place ?
whatever side you always get on/off ( left ?)
mount to loader uprights or whatever is 'there'.
cut a plastic pipe 2/3 length of the cane. be sure water can exit...

that way it's EASY to get to

It absolutely would work! First thing that came to my mind as well.

They can be fender mounted also (or other places). I use them hold a chain hook on my tractor.

Why did you want a chain hook on your tractor?
I have chains stored in the round tube of the FEL. They completely fill the available space (one side to the other).

You can't push all that chain into that space by hand. So the 'chain hook' allows me push (or pull it).

I didn't want a 'chain bucket' on my compact tractor.

I hook the crook over the steel brace that the cheap little factory toolbox sits on, right at the left hand side of the box. The rest sits right down along the inside of the fender outboard of the L-M-H gear range selector. I don't have the "auto cruise" on my tractor so that slot is available for the shaft of the cane.

I slide a piece of foam pipe wrap around mine to stop the rattle and just drop the cane between the seat and the fender /side window. After work I just pop the foam off but I am not getting on/off at a high frequency.

Have 5” and 6” square steel tubing mounted vertically for chains, chainsaw, long handle tools mounted vertically on tractors.

Used one of these to keep snake grabber tool on the four wheeler handy. Not for snakes but to pick limbs and rocks out of the driveway without having to dismount. Impressed how securely it holds yet allows easy deployment.
