Where to find rear rim for L185DT?

Howdy,

I've got a '79 L185DT with a rear rim that's rusted through and needs to be replaced. No luck on finding a replacement so far. I've tried Kubota and Wengers.

Anyone know where else to look? I'm in the Youngstown, OH area.

Failing that... It looks like I can either patch the hole (looks like I'll need to cut out maybe a 3" x 6" area, which includes various bends) or maybe buy a bare rim shell and cut out the center disc from the old wheel and weld it to the new one. Anyone done this before and have recommendations as to which path is easier? I'm slightly leaning toward welding my current center to a new rim, but I'm wondering how precise I need to be on getting that centered and if I'll have to extend the center section at all to meet up with the new rim.

Appreciate any "been there, done that" advice.... Thanks!

Mark

edit: I guess I should add... This is a 7x24 rim with 9.5x24 tires/tubes.

I went through the same dilemma with my 1985 L2250. Since Kubota no longer offered replacement rims I had to have them fabricated by Wold Rim out in Iowa. They're not cheap but in my case I had no option.
