Where does my top link go??

OK. First day with my LX2610 and Land Pride finish mower. I can't find any instructions on how my top link should be adjusted. Here's a picture but if I raise or the mower the top link swivels and doesn't keep the rear wheels off the ground for transport.

Loosen the lock nut (blue circle) and turn the turnbuckle (yellow arrow) to shorten up the top link then tighten the lock nut.

The way that is attached is correct. That link is to allow the mower to follow the ground contours as you move.

Two things you can do to lift it more is to move the tractor end to the lowest hole and shorten the top link so that link is around 45 degrees. For transport you could shorten the top link as much as you want but then you have to lengthen it for mower operation when you get where you are going.

You might want to look into hydraulic top links and side links at some point in your future! They are nice to have!
