I'd guess around 1958. We had a local agricultural fair and the John Deere tent always had toys on display. If we'd had a good year on the farm, Dad would buy me a toy. I can remember 2 cylinder models, a manure spreader, a Model 12 combine and a MC or 40 crawler and later a New Generation tractor and a 3 bottom plow.

Many happy hours in a corner of the garden plot.

As a kid, I got heavy equipment in the 60s. Never a tractor.

January 2021 for the L2501 HST. I bought our Poulan riding lawn mower/tractor in May 2017. The Poulan is a 17.5 HP Briggs and Stratton. Both have been good.

I grew up in an orphanage and toys weren't a thing for us ... neither was food it seems!

My first "tractor" was a John Deere X320 that I bought used in 2012. I don't remember buying that little cart behind it, but then again I've tried to erase most of the memories from my time in Arkansas. 😂

'01, a real tractor. Not a riding lawn mower. Of course some consider my new BX a "toy" tractor. Side by side against a cat2 machine does make it looks like a toy. But then the cat2 machine against my local dairy farmers huge 4x4 machines makes them look like a toy. All relative to needs. Meets my current and probably future needs just fine. Trail and gravel driveway maintenance and firewood harvesting. Love the quick attach, QH, and the claw grapple. Sure makes life easy.

I drove my first tractor, a Farmall Super A, in 1960. I was 8 years old and had to stand to operate the pedals. My job was pulling tobacco sleds in the fields for the croppers. When I turned 12 my arms had grown long enough to hold a bunch of tobacco and I had to give up my cushy tractor driving job and get on the ground and crop.
