I sank my tractor last week and was greasing everything when I noticed this nut that has a little rod going through it. Can someone tell me the purpose of this thing? Thanks

That is your clutch housing drain. Push up on it to drain any water that may have accumulated.

That drain is also automatic, it is not a solid seal and will leak out any water on its own. ;)

I wondered what that was on mine as well. Especially considering that it is bent form all the brush we have been driving over.

I found the same gadget on my 3560 HST last year, and asked the dealer what it was, and he said it was to drain water out if I was caught in a rainstorm. I have been wondering how water was going to get down to that drain????? It doesn't have a clutch per se.
