What engine oil for B8200d?

Manual says 10w-30 but it was written 30 years ago. Wondering what everyone uses?

I have the same engine in my B7200 and I run Rotella 15W-40 all year round. No issues and always have good oil pressure.

Being that the new tractors say 10w30 also, I would imagine that is a good oil to go with. It's what I run in all three of my Kubotas

Probably also says to use Diesel #2 and ordinary atmospheric air... I don’t know HOW we keep these things running with such out-of-date information, heh?

Manual was written before synthetic motor oil was available, and before 5W-40 and 0W-40 viscosity oil...

And the engine was made before those items were on the market as well... That engine was designed around what WAS on the market. (I won’t put synthetic oil in my 1934 Harley either.)
