Looking at my warranty I noticed that the emissions control related coverage was 5 years for all engines EXCEPT those under 25hp or those which were "constant speed engines rated under 50hp with rated speeds greater than or equal to 3,000 rpm". These latter two categories have 2 years coverage.
I am trying to figure out if the latter category applies to my 35hp tractor, and have no clue as to what a constant speed engine means? Offhand I would say no, because the rated rpm on mine is 2600 in the manual. But what is a constant speed engine?
If I am reading this right the tier 4 stuff for these compact tractors has got an extended warranty, or at least 3 years more than the rest of the tractor. The list includes a lot of parts including fuel pumps, sensors, and the ECU. Pretty much everything but the engine and the radiator. This is good news if true.
Anyone know?
