I have an M7060 with the aforementioned loader. The joystick works up and down, but not left or right (no tilting). I was told by the dealership to look at the valve lock on the joystick. The valve lock is pressed in indicating that it is engaged, but will not move from this position (have tried vigorous force and hammering-got nothin). I have taken the valve out and inspected and I can't for the life of me see how this metal tab prevents/allows movement of the joystick left or right. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

I looked at the parts illustration trying to understand how the lock plate is attached.

Unfortunately the locking assembly #150 is sold as one unit.

I have provided the assembly/adjustment procedure for the earlier loader LA1153 thinking the mechanism would be the same or very similar.

I suggest you remove the protection plate from around the valve and see if the spools can be disconnected from the cables thus freeing up the upper part of the joystick.

Dave-

Thanks for your reply and attachments. The details provided help. However, I have discovered since posting, that the locking mechanism is not my problem. In order for the joystick lock to be effective it must be pushed in to go under the rockers in the boot-this limiting the movement of the joystick travel-front/back and also left/right. That is not the case for me- i have front back movement- no side to side. There appears to be no obstructions in this control block preventing any joystick movement. My left to right hydraulic for the loader is stuck and won't move. Maybe disconnecting the cable may free this up. I will try this next.

Dave-

excuse my ignorance on this, but what are the spool valves and where are they located?

thanks
Steve
Any hydraulic directional valve like a loader valve has carefully machined steel cylinders inside the valve body directing the hydraulic fluid to where it is needed.

The spools slide in and out to do their job.

The joystick cables connect to the ends of the spools to make them move as the joystick is moved.

Thanks for the clarification Dave. I have determined that the cable is seized. I disconnected the cable from the spool and was able to move the spool independently- looks like i need a new control cable.
