Transmission Fluid Levels - Normal?

Another newbie question - my MX4800DT was delivered with just under 2 hours on meter. Before operating, I checked all fluid levels and they were in the "safe" range. The tranny fluid was exactly in the middle of the sight-glass. I operated it for about 10 hours over a couple of days, checking between operations, and the level fell to very near the bottom of sight-glass.

At 13 hours, I added fluid (Kubota UDT2) and actually filled a bit too much and it was approximately at 3/4 of glass. Operated for another 7 hours and now at almost 20 hours and the level on the glass is at about 1/3 glass.

There are no visible leaks. Is it normal for the tractor to "use" a bit of fluid? Is it because it is new, or just normal?

Not a huge concern really, just curious if should be.

FYI - all of my work so far has been shredding or light loader work.

Thanks.........................

Probably just the difference in where and what direction the tractor is parked, because it will not be true level.

There should not be use or leakage of the transmission oil.

I would stop adding and just keep an eye on it, as normal maintenance.

Thanks for the help. Good advice.

I used to have a pontiac with 350ci that always ran 1/2 quart low, and that was just normal. No matter how much I added or how long I drove it, whenever I checked, the dipstick showed it low. Just came to accept it.

Will keep an eye on it.
