Hi new member. Question? 2003-2007 3430 what are normal hours for tractor. 2700 hours a lot for that old of tractor? I know it is based on usage. Just wondering if tractor has been maintained is it still good for another 1500-2000 hours. What to look for when purchasing that age tractor? Sorry for long post. Thanks for your input. B

That's about double what the norm seams to be, but if it was maintained well it should get quite a few more hours out of it.

I don't find those hours unreasonable, its a good size tractor for chores, and that is much less that a hour a day over its life. All boils down to how it's been taken care of.my b6100 is about to roll 5000 hours and still runs well and starts on the coldest winter day without a block heater, and it gets quite cold in my neck of the woods

Thanks for the response. Trying to weigh options for purchase. Are you able to take serial number and find out what year it is? Didn't know if the kubota site has that information anywhere. Thanks B

The year is far less important than the hours. Hours tell how much it has been used, age has little bearing on the shape of the machine, unless it has sat outside it's entire life.

Got pictures?

What is asking price?

I have wondered about the life expectancy of a tractor in hours. I have been looking at buying a kubota recently and I have received different opinions. Some say 4000 hours other say 8000 hours is what you should expect before the motor needs work. There is a guy locally that has a mid 1990s new holland that he uses every day to mow fields for people and he has 12,000 hours on the tractor. Tractor has quite a bit of wear to the paint and a few dents here and there, and he has been through several sets of tires but he told me recently that all he has done is religiously change the oil and used a good fuel stabilizer. No engine or drive train issues other than wear items.

I asked him what to look for in buying a used tractor and said routine maintenance and using a good diesel fuel additive was the most important thing.

Thx Wolf for link. I have been looking at the site. Prices all over board. A lot of price looks like the state it is in. Northern seems higher than southern and Texas. Going up next week to check them out in person. Will give update on outcome. Thanks. B

Be patient. You can find what you are looking for with less hours. I have bought and sold quite a few used Kubota tractors off C's list over the years. You can find some great deals if you watch the listings several times a day. When you find what you are looking for don't hesitate. If it is a good tractor for a good price it won't be there long. Just my 2 cents.
