I am a proud new owner of a Kubota L3130 GST, and I have a very silly question that I am SURE its been asked before (searched but didn't find exactly what i'm looking for). I also have a 35' travel trailer (@ 8600#).

My question what is the towing limit of the L3130 will I be able to "move" around my trailer with my tractor using the 3 point hitch or something else or will it overload (or tip over) my tractor. I just want to be able to move / turn around my trailer so I can hook it up to my truck much easier.

I am not sure how to figure all that out as this is the first "real" tractor i've ever owned.

I doubt you will have any trouble pulling it at all,,,, see pulling it is not the problem, getting the thing stopped is  remember you only have rear wheel braking and nothing on the front, like in your truck. So if you are flat and level sure it will pull it and probably stop no problems,, going down hill ehhh maybe not such a grand idea,,just MHO you understand

Get yourself a 3PH mover with a ball and be happy.

Nevermind what it can move -- what scares me is what's moving it in that picture!

The tractor is something like 3,300 lbs. The front end loader adds at least another 1,000 lbs, possibly as much as 1,500 lbs with the bucket. The trailer itself is probably close to 1,000lbs.

The single axle on that trailer is rated 3600 lbs AT MOST. Possibly only 2,200 lbs. And you've loaded it down with well over 5,000!!!

I recommend you get a tandem axle with electric brakes rated for the load and big enough to set the bucket down when loaded. Plus a couple of feet extra at the back because some day you will want to haul it with a counterweight or other attachment hanging off the 3ph.

And not to beat a dead horse, really, really, bad and illegal to haul a tractor with the loader in the air like that, the loader is an implement and must be tied to the deck! ;)

If you need to move it around more get a bigger tandem axle trailer! :D

emphasis on tandem axle. That 'landscapers trailer' is way too small in capacity right from the get go.

Jessop, welcome to the forum.

Your question about using your 3pt hitch for moving your travel trailer....well, don't use the 3pt hitch. Use the drawbar that is between the arms you use for attaching implements. It has a lower center of gravity, and does not swing side to side, and won't rotate if there was a ball on it.

Here's a video showing that drawbar. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omMAQMvphyc

According to the Owner's Manual for the L3130, L3430, L3830, L4330, L4630 and L5030 series tractors, "Implement Limitations", page 11 (L3130 specs only):

Max Drawbar Load W2 = 1100 lbs

Max Trailer Loading weight W3 = 3300 lbs

I would definitely tow from the drawbar, have done it myself, works well.

I would also second those who do not like putting your tractor in that cheesy single axle trailer. Way to much weight for what you're using.
